Hello, Wildcat Families!
We are so excited for you to be a part of the Washington Elementary PTA! As a member, you can stay informed, get involved, vote, and help when you can. As parents ourselves, we understand how busy life can get. We want to help you be a part of things, but in ways that work for you and your family. Whether you can help from home, at the school, or just by being a voting member, we appreciate what you are able to invest in our great school and its students.

Washington PTA Meeting Information
WHEN: every second Wednesday of the month, 3:30-4:30 PM. (Except February 7, adjusted for Valentine’s Day)
WHERE: Washington Elementary’s Library
*Zoom invitations will be emailed to registered PTA members the Monday prior to the monthly meetings for parents wanting to attend remotely.
Meeting Agenda: Agendas will be posted on the Washington PTA Bulletin Board and the PTA Website prior to the meetings. If you have items to add to the agenda for New Business, please email our PTA Secretary Andrea Sanders at andrea.b.sanders@gmail.com by 5:00 PM the Wednesday before the PTA meeting.
Childcare: We would like to provide childcare for Washington students during the one hour meetings. In nice weather this will be on the playground, in inclement weather in a designated space in the school. Parents will be asked to sign their children in and out on a clipboard. Younger children are welcome to play with toys brought by the PTA in a small area of the library.
If you are able to watch the small group of children whose parents are attending the meeting, you will be asked to complete a routine background check prior to the meeting (per the district’s request). Since we have offered this care, more parents have been able to attend our meeting!

How do I opt-in to the PTA texts?
Class Communicators
Text the Class Communicator shared by your child’s teacher via email. Indicate your child’s name, teacher, and that you would like to receive PTA texts. You can always email us yo opt in at boisewashingtonpta@gmail.com
What is a Class Communicator?
Starting this year, each class at Washington will have a Class Communicator. This person will send texts to families that opt-in to receive PTA texts about upcoming school events. This position will also help answer parent questions regarding those texts and help find needed volunteers & materials.
What kind of texts will they be?
How were the Class Communicators chosen?
Just important info on upcoming school events, or ways to be involved.
We asked for recommendations for these positions from teachers and staff, and parents. We took all the recommendations we were given, and then grouped them by class. Then drew names from a hat and contacted the parents in that order. We have such a great group of parents! There were many parents recommended to us!
